Dynamic Planner enables advice firms to match people with suitable portfolios through engaging financial plans. Founded in 2003, it is an end-to-end, risk-based system, using a single definition of risk to ensure nothing is lost in translation in the planning and advice process.

Challenge

In 2022, Dynamic Planner wanted to ensure pay was competitive against the external market. After this, they returned to us in 2023 for advice on creating a career framework that would provide more consistency in the decision-making process. It was important to be able to communicate pay decisions more clearly with employees.

Solution

The first time we worked with Dynamic Planner, we ran a benchmarking calibration session with their leadership team. Here, we presented the way in which we had levelled their employees against the external market. We explained the effect this would have on their final benchmarking report and gave the Dynamic Planner team an opportunity to make changes before carrying out the final process.

Having worked with them before, we were familiar with the structure of their organisation and understood their need for a career framework. We presented the pros and cons of different options and their team agreed on the one which best reflected their company goals.

Outcome

As well as now being confident their salaries are fair and competitive, Dynamic Planner have a career framework and descriptions split by individual contributors and people managers. Using the job descriptions provided by their HR team, we were able to ensure these incorporated brand language and were easy to communicate with employees.
