Our Director, Rameez Kaleem has been invited to speak at a prestigious, virtual CIPD Festival of Work.

Hosted by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Festival of Work Conference 2020 is a three-day event, which will take place from June 10th to 12th. Promising to provide a unique online experience, visitors will have the chance to explore how learning, technology and innovation can come together to shape remarkable workplaces that put people first.

Rameez will be delivering his presentation at 11:30am on Friday, June 12th, which will cover pay transparency, pay equity and what professional football can teach us about transparency in the workplace.

The topic of pay equity and pay transparency is even more important now with the majority of us working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Less visibility leads to even less transparency, which could lead to mistrust.

When it comes to pay transparency there are a lot of misconceptions. How and why pay decisions are made is incredibly important and having clarification over this is going to help us create trust with our employees and make progress towards pay equity.

Having worked with a variety of organisations, from family-run businesses to FTSE100 companies, Rameez felt that this was the right time to use his knowledge to support other businesses in a conference environment.

He’ll be covering his four key steps to introduce pay transparency businesses and explore our case study with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, an organisation we worked with to adapt their approach to pay and pay progression.

Rameez said: “It is a real honour to have been invited to speak at such a high-profile event about an issue I’m incredibly passionate about so I’m really looking forward to the whole experience.”

Rameez’s presentation ‘Can pay transparency lead to pay equity?’ will be available to view on the Festival of Work website for one month following the conference. For more information, visit: www.festivalofwork.com/whats-on/free-learning-programme-day-three/
