Auto Trader was looking to get a better understanding of how competitive its pay was compared to the external market. It also wanted to introduce a pay for performance culture. There was no existing reward framework in place, and it had never previously carried out any salary benchmarking.
We worked with Auto Trader to evaluate and benchmark every role within the organisation and produce a summary of results. The next step was to design a unique job level framework and align all roles to the framework.
This was the first time that Auto Trader had carried out a pay and reward review. The reports provided each business area with valuable insight to enable them to make more informed decisions.
The new approach to progression was key to driving a performance culture and the job level framework offered employees more clarity over the career paths available to them.
